The weekend, practically.
The Alabama-Auburn game is in Tuscaloosa this year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's the hardest room of the season and families are booking it now. We book the family's rooms on one link, handle the drive from Birmingham and hold the tables.
Downtown and the Strip go first, then the hotels on the interstate. Birmingham is about an hour away and has far more rooms. For the Auburn game on Thanksgiving weekend, a family that stays in Birmingham with a driver has a better Saturday than one that took the last room on the interstate. We have not timed the drive ourselves.
Thanksgiving weekend brings a second problem. People want Thursday dinner, and plenty of restaurants close for it. Tell us early and we'll find the tables that are open.
