Groups · Milestone birthday

The birthday trip, with the house, the dinner and the surprise handled.

Forty, fifty, sixty, the big one. Eight to twenty people, one long table, and someone who isn't the birthday person doing the planning.

What's handled.

In the order it matters for this trip.

  1. A house, a villa or a block of rooms near one very good restaurant
  2. The dinner itself: the private room, the menu, the wine, the toast timing, the cake that arrives when it should
  3. Cars for the people who fly in, timed to different flights
  4. Groceries and the first night in the house, if it's a house
  5. The day: the boat, the vineyard, the course, the spa, booked with the deposits handled
  6. The surprise, if there is one, kept off the itinerary the birthday person sees
  7. One itinerary everyone else can see

Who's usually organising

A partner, a sibling, or the friend who's good at this.

Where these go

Wine country, a coast, a European city, a ranch, a lake. Somewhere the birthday person has mentioned twice.

The one thing to know

The restaurant is the trip. Book it first and build the rest around the night.

What it costs

The house, the rooms and most bookings are paid by the suppliers, so they cost nothing extra to book through us. Planning the whole trip starts at $250 and depends on how many moving parts it has. The exact fee is in your quote.

Questions.

Can you keep part of it secret?

Yes. We can run two versions of the itinerary: the one the birthday person sees and the one everyone else does.

Different budgets in the group

Normal. The house or the rooms are set up so the split is fair, and the extras are optional and clear.
