SHOT Show 2027, Las Vegas
Nine hotels sorted by how you'll get to the floor, and a real plan for whoever came along but isn't badged.
Notch 001 · Las Vegas, Nevada · September 2026
The show is the easy part.
Fifty thousand people. Four hotels that matter. The same week as World of Concrete, which nobody warns you about. The rideshare line at the Venetian runs forty minutes at 5:30 and the steakhouse you wanted for the client dinner filled up back in November. The room you booked yourself turned out to be a “ride” from the floor that the map swore was a walk.
We like this kind of problem. Tell us the week and we’ll hand it back with every confirmation in one place, then stay a text away while you’re there. You already know what good looks like. Let Notched handle the details.
Notch 001 - SHOT Show 2027 - Las Vegas - Jan 19 to 22 - Venetian Expo + Caesars Forum
Most people land here one of three ways.
You book your own trip. Owner, buyer, small brand. Your card, your points, your call. You want the right hotel for how you’ll actually work the floor, and you want to know what’s included BEFORE you commit to anything.
Or the company booked your room in the spring and that’s handled. What nobody booked is the driver, the Thursday dinner, and what your plus-one does from 8:30 to 5:30 for three days straight.
Or you lost the block. onPeak says “unavailable,” it’s November, and you’ve got six people to house. Four rooms or fourteen through us, same floor where the hotel allows it, one invoice, and a cancellation schedule you’ve actually read.
Nine hotels, sorted by how you’ll get to the floor.
These are the nine we’d put a SHOT Show client in. Each one says who it suits and which room to ask for. Walk times are hotel door to Venetian Expo door, by street. Show-week crowds add a few minutes to all of them.
Rates and what’s included change daily, so we don’t print them here.. send us your dates and you get the real numbers in writing, no charge.
On the show floor
The Venetian Resort. Book the Luxury King Suite. If you never want to go outside during show week, this is the one and the argument ends there. Ten minutes indoors to the Expo, and the SHOT Bridge gets you to Caesars Forum without a coat. The suites are big for Vegas. One thing to know: arrival-day check-in is a zoo, so we pre-register you and you walk past the line.
Walkable, 15 to 25 minutes, mostly indoors or over bridges
Wynn and Encore. Book Encore Resort King for quiet, or Wynn Resort King to be five minutes closer. If you want the most polished hotel on this list and a real walk to the floor, it’s Wynn. Encore to the Expo is 20 to 25 minutes through the Esplanade and over the Sands Avenue bridge. Ask for a high floor away from the nightclub side. The two towers are one resort connected indoors, so you can pick by mood.
Caesars Palace. Book Octavius tower or newer - the tower matters more than the room category here. If you’re mostly working Caesars Forum and want the most hotel for the money, this is it. Twelve to fifteen minutes on foot to the Forum over the Flamingo Road bridge, about 22 to the Expo. So it’s a walk one way and a short ride the other. Tell us the rate you were quoted and we’ll tell you which tower it’s really in.
Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace. Book the Deluxe King. Caesars’ location without the Caesars lobby. It’s a hotel inside a hotel: private elevators off the main entrance, quiet floors, the restaurant downstairs. Small, so it fills early in show week. If you already hold it on another program, keep it. We’ll handle the rest of the week.
Free show shuttle
Resorts World is on the SHOT Show’s own shuttle route. The show runs free buses from the Resorts World tour-bus area to both halls, mornings 7:00 to 10:30 and afternoons 3:30 to 6:30 (Friday 2:00 to 5:00), every 25 to 30 minutes, first come first seated. That’s the 2026 schedule and we’ll confirm 2027 before you travel. Outside those windows it’s a short ride. Walking is 27 to 33 minutes, and the Vegas Loop stops here but doesn’t reach the Expo, in case you were counting on it.
Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR. Book the Strip View Superior King. The newest tower in town and the quietest of the three Resorts World hotels. Its own lobby and elevators at the back of the complex, lounge access on the right rate, the calmest floors in the building. The commute is the trade: shuttle in the morning, a short ride at night.
Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World. Book the Strip View Premium King, and yes, it’s worth the step up. Big modern rooms and a lively complex to come back to. Same shuttle as Crockfords, bigger casino floor and a food hall downstairs, and the pool deck if January cooperates. This is the room we’d put two people in for four nights.
A ride to the show
Mid-Strip. Thirty minutes or more on foot, 10 to 15 by car. This is where a booked driver pays for itself.
Bellagio. Book the Spa Tower Premier King for the soaking tub and the quieter elevator bank. The classic, if you’re happy with a car to the floor. Central for dinners, the fountains out front, the Conservatory for whoever isn’t badged. High-energy lobby, so it suits people who want Vegas at the end of the day rather than a break from it.
The Cosmopolitan. Book the Terrace Studio King, not the City Room. The terrace is the whole point - a real open-air balcony over the Strip at 620 square feet. If you’re two couples traveling together and want the room people talk about, this is the one. It suits a group that wants to go out after the floor closes. Ask for a room away from the nightclub side.
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. Book the Strip View King. No casino, no smoke, and a quiet room at the end of a ten-hour day. It’s the only pick on this list without a casino floor and the farthest from the halls, which is exactly why it’s the calmest. The hotel runs a single house car on a first-come basis, so we pair this one with a booked driver rather than counting on it.
Send the dates and we’ll narrow it to two or three of these for the way you’ll work the week, with the rate, what’s included and the cancellation terms written out. Happy to put it next to anything you’ve already been quoted.
Three show days for whoever came along.
The floor runs 8:30 to 5:30 Tuesday through Thursday and closes at 4 on Friday. That’s three full days and a half where the person who came along has nothing on the calendar unless someone puts it there. We put it there, around your dinners, so you meet up every evening and nobody’s waiting in a hotel room.
Spa mornings at Wynn or the Waldorf, booked rather than walk-in. The Bellagio Conservatory with the Lunar New Year installation up all show week. A private shopping appointment at Crystals or the Wynn Esplanade. Red Rock at golden hour, or the Neon Museum after dark with a helicopter option if they’re up for it. Downtown for an evening: Mob Museum, Oscar’s under the dome, The Laundry Room to finish. A cabana or a pool day if January cooperates, and it often does.
A sample Wednesday, so you can picture it. 9:30, car to the Wynn spa, 80-minute treatment, then the pool deck. 1:00, lunch at Mizumi on the lake, or Lakeside if it’s warm. 2:30, Bellagio Conservatory and the Chihuly ceiling, car waits. 4:30, back to the hotel. You’re off the floor at 5:30. 7:30, dinner at Bavette’s, both of you, table held since October. 9:30, The Vault at Bellagio, or bed. Show floor at 8:30 again.
“I have Platinum. Why wouldn’t I book it myself?”
Fair question, and sometimes the answer is: book it yourself. Send us your dates and whatever you’ve been quoted and we’ll put our option next to it line by line. The rate, what the hotel includes, the cancellation deadline, the penalty. Where your card or your company block is the better booking we’ll say so, and we’ll still handle the rest of the week.
What’s usually different on our side is what the hotel adds to the room. Where a hotel offers partner benefits, like breakfast, a hotel credit or upgrade priority, they go on your plan, subject to availability. You still pay the hotel directly, so your hotel points and your card points both land. Nothing is prepaid to a third party.
The other difference is who picks up. Room walked, car late, table lost: you text us, not a phone tree. We know who to call at the hotel and we’re awake in your time zone.
On cost: nothing, on the room. Hotels pay advisors a commission out of the rate you’d pay anyway. Every option comes with the deadline and the penalty written out before you book, and some rates carry stiffer penalties after the deadline than others.. we say which.
The rest of the week, arranged.
The commute. A driver with your name on the sign, airport pickup with your flight tracked, and a driver on call for show days: hotel to Expo in the morning, Forum to dinner at night. Sprinter vans for teams. No surge pricing.
The tables. Mott 32 inside the show complex. Delilah for the night that has to impress. Bavette’s, Golden Steer, Carbone Riviera, a lake-level table at SW. Held six weeks out.
The hard ones. ITO, é, the Krug table, The Vault. Twelve seats, nine seats, one table. Poodle Room access runs through the right suite, not a bar reservation. We’ll tell you the odds before you get your hopes up.
The nights. Absinthe or Atomic Saloon at 9 midweek. Friday held for the finale: the Eagles play Sphere on 22 January at 8:30pm. Buy that one early.
Before or after. The 17th, 18th and 23rd are for Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam, a Grand Canyon landing, Shadow Creek, a supercar session, or a proper Old Vegas night. Monday the 18th is the Supplier Showcase if that’s on your calendar.
And the whole week in one place on your phone: every confirmation, driver number, reservation and deadline. Your team sees the same thing.
The day before, the day after, and the plus-one’s afternoons.
These book through our Viator links at the same price you’d pay direct, so the confirmation, the pickup time and the reschedule if the show runs late all come through us. Best on the 17th, 18th or 23rd, or for whoever isn’t badged.
Grand Canyon by helicopter, four ways: sunset flight with picnic, Eagle Point rim landing, deluxe canyon tour, or the aerial-only flight.
The Vegas night flight with VIP transfer is the easy win for an evening the floor closes early. The Strip and Sphere from above after dark, car both ways.
Emerald Cave kayak at Willow Beach is a guided paddle on the Colorado below Hoover Dam. Quiet water, canyon walls, back by mid-afternoon.
For a team that just landed, or a plus-one afternoon: the food tour of the Strip, Secret Food Tours, or the Bars Unknown bar crawl.
For the group: a GoCar Strip tour by day, a private party bus with a champagne toast at night, or the three-club Party Passport.
A private local guide for Seven Magic Mountains and the Mojave, or an Arts District photo and street-art walk, one to six people: ask us to hold one.
A few more questions.
Our company books our rooms. Then the room’s done. Most people still want the driver and the dinners, and a plan for whoever came along.
What if my dates change? We quote refundable rates wherever the hotel offers one, and we tell you the exact deadline and penalty in writing before you book.
How fast is this? Options in writing within a couple of business days. Once you pick, we hold the room as fast as the hotel allows, and confirmations come to you as they land.
Will the hotel treat me differently? Sometimes, and we won’t oversell it. Partner benefits and upgrade priority are real but subject to availability, and show week is the busiest week of the year. We’ll tell you what to expect at each hotel.
Let’s go somewhere.
The walkable hotels sell out first. Holding a refundable room now costs nothing and closes the door on nothing. Here’s what we’ll ask you:
- Dates and how many rooms, or “room’s booked, just the rest”
- Walkable, show shuttle, or “I’ll have a driver”
- Who’s coming that isn’t badged
- Anything you’ve already been quoted, so we can compare
- Any dinner, show or tour above you want held
So we go. Another notch.
Hotel picks are our own judgment for SHOT Show 2027 (Jan 19 to 22, 2027, Venetian Expo + Caesars Forum). Rates, inclusions and cancellation terms are set by each hotel, change daily, and are confirmed in writing for your dates before you book. Preferred partner benefits are provided by the hotel through Fora Travel’s partner programs, subject to availability. Walk times are street-routed estimates from hotel entrance to the Venetian Expo. Show dates, venues and shuttle schedule per shotshow.org. Tour links are Viator links through Fora’s agent program at Viator’s published price.
